Segment 2: Emotional Challenges of Interracial Relationships
Any time a person goes "outside of your group" s/he can be accused of disloyalty. This is a big part of what interracial couples face, in addition to the experience of belonging in a different category from their own children. What are the strategies of couples for dealing with how race matters, and for "racial moments" both inside and outside of their relationship? How "getting curious" can help in dealing with racial differences and our society's reaction to them.

Segment 3: White-Black Relationships and How to Reduce Racisim Near You
Consciousness. Isn't that the answer for so many things these days? Noticing, talking about, facing fears….all of these are effective strategies for dealing with race within interracial couples and families. They work for everyone else, too. Terri Karis advises, for us to reduce racism in our world, to 1) reduce obstacles to connecting with others, 2) look for opportunities to connect and 3) make discomfort your friend, showing you the interesting things you can learn!
