Dr. Stephen Streat, FRACP, works as an Intensivist in the Department of Critical Care Medicine in Auckland Hospital, Auckland, New Zealand. In addition, he heads up New Zealand’s Organ Donation Program and has also worked in a New Zealand program that assists medically stranded New Zealanders who are traveling outside New Zealand. I met Dr. Streat last Fall when we traveled in New Zealand, and had the privilege of spending a few days in his comfortable presence.
