20 years ago, when Mark Victor Hansen and Jack Canfield created the first Chicken
Soup for the Soul book, they followed a novel idea of putting heartwarming stories together, written by a variety of people, by which to be inspired and for readers to enjoy. They were both members of the National Speakers Association (as was I), and came to that group for some of their first stories. After 20 years, the “Chicken Soup” franchise—already wildly successful—seems to be just taking off, under the supervision of Amy Newmark and her husband. This show takes a very candid look at how the Series changed publishing, the more than 200 titles now available, and how you can submit a story for possible publication. Upcoming, there’s a tv talk show, a full-length movie, and a food line coming your way, all in the name of offering “Chicken Soup” for your soul!
