Whenever you read about fear these days, you’re told about how fear was used by our earliest ancestors to keep safe from tigers! The problem is, most of us don’t have tigers chasing after us; but we do have “paper tigers” like paying the mortgage, keeping the family fed and safe, and freeway travel that stimulate our fear response almost constantly. How do we keep ourselves from constant anxiety, overstimulation of our fear response (and the resultant wear and tear on our bodies), and attendant worries?
